Hello, student!

Hello, student!

We love learning at speech IRL. We especially love learning together.

We created learn IRL to support our community of professionals, colleagues, researchers, and communication seekers. Here you'll find past learning events available for virtual viewing, as well as upcoming live events, workshops, and courses.

The majority of our learn IRL courses are eligible for ASHA CEUs. Staying true to our value of collaboration, all of our CE offerings feature interactive discussions and audience contributions. Our style is informal and open, and we emphasize topics that promote creativity and innovation within the field of speech-language pathology. Our courses explore both theory and practice, searching for the very latest research and how it can be applied to practice today.

We're grateful for every new learner who joins our community. Every student is also a unique teacher.

Welcome, and thank you for helping us learn and grow together.

About Our Courses and Events

From continuing education to personal growth

  • Dine & Development

Our Dine & Development courses feature clinical topics with practical application in the therapy room. Our D&Ds are designed to promote active discussion between presenters and a small group audience. Offered as live events and self-study recordings. Eligible for ASHA CEUs.

  • Research Series

Research Series courses highlight up-and-coming researchers in the field of speech-language pathology, themed around a specific practice area. These courses feature a fireside-chat style conversation between a practicing SLP and the researcher. We created this series to elevate emerging leaders in our field. All researchers are either ABD or completed their PhD within the last 5 years. Offered as self-study recordings. Eligible for ASHA CEUs.

  • Communication Classes

These classes and workshops are designed for those who want to improve their communication skills. This includes curriculum-based programs like our popular Mindful Communication and ACT-based stuttering therapy programs, as well as standalone workshops and seminars. Offered as live events. Not eligible for CEUs.
